Make Your Next Birthday an Ice Cream Party!
Planning a birthday party can be pretty frustrating if you don’t know where to start. Sure, you can go with the cliché theme that everyone in their right mind knows, or you can try to spice things up a bit. One way that you can do that is by having an ice cream party. Because it’s such a generally loved treat, both your guests and your little ones will have a blast.
Gather Supplies
Now, there are several ways that you can go about planning your party. But first, you’re going to need to purchase all the necessary supplies for the big day. This means, get all your ice cream spoons, cups, blenders, piñatas, and scoopers ready and waiting. Additionally, you’re going to need a ton of ice cream, a variety of toppings, and waffle cones.
Make a Creative Menu
Creative and fun guest invitations will give all your partygoers a taste of what’s to come. Be creative with it. If you have a computer illustration program, try creating a dessert menu that includes the types of ice cream that you’re serving, along with the date and time. Or, you can take a photo of a banana split with the birthday boy or girl behind it, with a cute ice cream-related rhyme on the front. Essentially, the more creativity that you put in your invitation, the more excited your guests will be.
Be Innovative
Another great idea is to make personalized ice cream cups for each family. They don’t have to be expensive. In fact, you can use some paint and glitter to write out each guest’s name and leave it out on the table for them.
Themes also work fantastically for parties. You can make your party room look like a 50s ice cream parlor. You can decorate everything in that room to look similar to how it was back then. Also, you can ask some of the children to go around taking orders. It’s an interactive experience that they’ll have a lot of fun doing. Give them some ice cream supplies and dress them up in a white hat, apron, and even a name tag for authenticity.
Balloons Can Compliment Any Party’s Theme
Don’t forget your balloons! Inflate some helium latex balloons in pastel colors to resemble popular ice cream colors. You can also find ice cream-themed balloons at your local party store. However, these may be expensive unless they’re bought in bulk, so normal balloons will work just the same.
